Product Performance
• The product is sterilized by ethylene oxide and should be sterile.
• Outer tube diameter 1.8mm is suitable for endoscopes with a minimum biopsy channel of 2.0mm; outer tube diameter 2.4mm is suitable for endoscopes with a minimum biopsy channel of 2.8mm.
Main Structural Components
The disposable cytology brush (hereinafter referred to as cytology brush) consists of a brush head, outer tube, sliding ring, pusher tube, and hand ring assembly.
Scope of Application
For clinical endoscopic collection of cell samples.
Function
• Hand ring and sliding ring: These are the operating parts; when they are close, the brush head extends out of the outer tube; when apart, the brush head retracts into the outer tube.
• Outer tube: The part of the product inserted into the endoscope.
• Pusher tube: Transmits the movement from the operating part to the brush head.
• Brush head: The part that collects cell samples.
Usage Method
• After opening the package, confirm that there are no obvious creases, bends, or damage on the outer tube;
• Confirm that the bristles on the brush head are intact;
• Under endoscopic visualization, insert the cytology brush through the endoscope's biopsy channel, insert the brush head into the lesion or suspicious lesion area, repeatedly brush the lesion and surrounding area, then retract the brush head into the outer tube, withdraw the cytology brush from the endoscope, and place the collected material on a slide to prepare a cytology smear for case analysis.
